The Challenge
A 14-person SaaS startup had closed its first enterprise prospects but was losing deals at the security review stage. Prospective clients in the healthcare and financial sectors required documented evidence of HIPAA-aligned security practices, endpoint protection, and access control policies. The founding team had strong product instincts but no security background and no documentation framework in place.
Our Approach
VXE Technologies began with a gap analysis against the compliance requirements the startup was being evaluated against. We implemented endpoint protection across all company devices, enforced multi-factor authentication and role-based access controls across their cloud systems, and documented a security policy framework covering data handling, access management, and incident procedures. A vendor risk management process was also established for their third-party integrations. All documentation was packaged into a security profile that could be shared directly with prospective enterprise clients during their vendor review process.
